Training School overview
The eVoiceNet Training School will take place on 1 July 2026 at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH), following the International Vocal Biomarkers Conference (29-30 June). The Training School is designed to provide early-career researchers and innovators with hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge in vocal biomarkers, AI-driven health technologies, and translational research methodologies.
Participants will engage in practical workshops, interactive sessions, and collaborative project work, guided by leading international experts from eVoiceNet. The Training School complements the conference by offering a focused learning environment for skills development, networking, and collaboration.

eVoiceNet
Launched in October 2025 under the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) programme, supported by the European Union, eVoiceNet brings together members from 40 participating countries, making it one of the most geographically inclusive European networks in the emerging field of vocal biomarkers and AI-driven digital health. The Action aims to position Europe as a global leader in this domain by developing a structured, multidisciplinary and standardised research framework to ensure scientific excellence, reproducibility, ethical compliance and clinical integration.
Venue
The Training School will be hosted at the Luxembourg Institute of Health – LIH (29, rue Henri Koch, L-4354 Luxembourg).
LIH provides state-of-the-art facilities for workshops, lectures, and group activities, ensuring a conducive environment for hands-on learning and collaboration.

Registration and selection process
Who can apply?
The Training School is limited to 25 participants, whose expenses will be covered. Early applications are strongly encouraged. Eligible applicants are M.A. students, Ph.D. students, and Early Career Investigators (who completed their Ph.D. no more than 8 years prior to the application) who are members of eVoiceNet.
Selection criteria and reimbursement eligibility
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Relevance of research interests to eVoiceNet goals
- Motivation for attending the Training School
- Potential for contributing to the eVoiceNet community
- Alignment with COST Excellence and Inclusiveness Policy
- Daily allowances: Reimbursements will follow the COST Action Annotated Rules(COST-094-21-Annotated-Rules-for-COST-Actions-Level-C-V3.0-25-IX-2025.pdf)
- Attendance verification: Participants must sign the official attendance list. Travel expense claims and supporting documentation must be submitted via e-COST within 15 days after the event. Participants of the Training School will receive a certificate of attendance.
Invitation and registration: Invitations will be issued via e-COST approximately 30 days before the event. Participants must accept the invitation within 2 weeks and complete registration for in-person attendance.

Travel from Kirchberg to LIH
Participants staying in Kirchberg for the International Vocal Biomarkers Conference can reach the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) conveniently by bus, train, taxi, or bicycle.
Public transport options (free of charge):
- Bus: Line 16 from Kirchberg to “Strassen / Bertrange”, then walk or transfer to LIH (~30 min).
- Train: From Luxembourg-Kirchberg station to Luxembourg Central Station, then take Bus Line 22 to “LIH / rue Thomas Edison” (~30 min).
- Frequency: Buses and trains run regularly every 10–20 minutes.
Other option:
- Taxi: ~10–15 minutes, depending on traffic.
