Luxembourg – 29-30 June 2026
Conference overview
The International Vocal Biomarkers Conference marks the first official Annual Meeting of eVoiceNet (COST Action CA24128), taking place on 29–30 June 2026 in Luxembourg, followed by a Training School on 1 July 2026.
This International Vocal Biomarkers Conference will convene clinicians, artificial intelligence specialists, speech and signal processing researchers, data protection experts, regulators, industry stakeholders, investors and patient organisations. The programme will feature keynote lectures, scientific oral presentations, a pitch session, and dedicated networking activities designed to foster collaboration and accelerate translation into clinical and public health practice.
Luxembourg provides a central and dynamic European setting for this first Annual Meeting, reinforcing its visibility in the field of digital health and emerging AI-based medical research.
Agenda will be available soon.
eVoiceNet
Launched in October 2025 under the framework of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) programme, supported by the European Union, eVoiceNet brings together members from 40 participating countries, making it one of the most geographically inclusive European networks in the emerging field of vocal biomarkers and AI-driven digital health. The Action aims to position Europe as a global leader in this domain by developing a structured, multidisciplinary and standardised research framework to ensure scientific excellence, reproducibility, ethical compliance and clinical integration.
Venue
The conference will take place at Novotel Kirchberg, located in the European district of Luxembourg City.
Luxembourg offers a central and easily accessible location within Europe, with direct connections to major European capitals. The Kirchberg district hosts key European institutions and research infrastructures, providing a dynamic environment aligned with the conference’s European dimension.
Call for contributions
Researchers, clinicians, engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders in voice research, AI, and digital health are invited to submit abstracts for presentation at the International Vocal Biomarkers Conference.
We welcome high-quality contributions addressing, but not limited to:
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning for vocal biomarkers
- Audio signal processing methodologies for vocal biomarker development
- Clinical validation, reproducibility, and standardisation
- Ethical, regulatory, privacy, and data governance frameworks
- Voice-based digital phenotyping and real-world data integration
- Translational, industrial, and implementation perspectives
All submitted abstracts will undergo peer evaluation by the eVoiceNet Scientific Committee. Based on the review process, selected contributions will be allocated either to:
- Oral presentations within the main scientific programme, or
- A pitch session, designed to highlight innovative, high-potential projects in a dynamic and high-visibility format.
Both presentation formats will provide direct exposure to an interdisciplinary European audience composed of leading researchers, Working Group leaders, clinicians, AI experts and industry stakeholders.
Early-career researchers and participants from Inclusiveness Target Countries are strongly encouraged to submit. A dedicated Training School will follow the conference, offering additional capacity-building opportunities aligned with the COST Excellence and Inclusiveness Policy.
By submitting your work, you will actively contribute to structuring the future European research framework for vocal biomarkers and AI-driven digital health.
Awards
Two awards will be given during the conference: one for the best oral presentation and one for the best pitch.
